Absolutely wonderful。 A Harry Potter type of school with kids with supernatural powers。 Amari has a very rare and distrusted ability - Magic。 She suffers discrimination， not only because of her ability， her coming from a low income home and she is black。 Without preaching， it shows the similarities of discrimination in her new setting and her past life。 Brilliantly written and teaches middle graders about the cost of bias on the one who is different。
